About the Wicked Domestics

Jackie – Welcome to our blog! I’ve always had a passion for cooking. My parents realized this when at the age of eight I started creating homemade cooking shows with the family camcorder. At that point it was mostly cake mixes and brownies – hardly gourmet. But since then I’ve cultivated my love of cooking and I’m constantly seeking new recipes and inspiration. Our family is big on entertaining, and I love planning and preparing hors d’oeuvres and meals for family parties and events. I was a Fine Arts major in college and I’m drawn to domestic arts & crafts like knitting, sewing, and needlepoint. I look forward to sharing my ideas, successes, and inspirations here at Wicked Domestic. Check back soon!

Elizabeth – Welcome to Wicked Domestic! I’m definitely not as creative as Jackie, particularly in the areas of art, crafts, sewing, and so forth. For those needs, I turn to my sister and, of course, Martha Stewart. One of my greatest loves is eating out and trying new restaurants – and new dishes at old faves – and love sharing my experiences. I also love cooking, but have to focus my skills to suit the reality of my life – a husband who often doesn’t know if he’ll be home from work for dinner. A typical Sunday conversation (as I’m trying to meal plan and make a grocery list) – Me: Think you’ll be home for dinner any night this week? Him: No idea. Me: Sigh. So I’m learning to work with that unpredictability and still cook meals that are tasty, healthy, and can freeze easily. This blog is an opportunity for me to share what I’m learning about my real-life cooking, as well as other domestic (and non-) ideas and experiences. My newest endeavor is a rooftop garden, the success of which remains to be seen. Thanks for checking out Wicked Domestic, and please visit often!

I love it. Impressed with the presentation, colors, format in general. I, of course, am something of an efficiency expert and well as a seasoned juggler. Along with my enjoyment of crafts and food I will pass along any tips that are so totally ingrained I don’t even consciously think about them. Pep was good at all of these things and would so enjoy this. Cheers!

I live in Florida and I found your web site by mistake. It is excellent! I made my ex-wife make all of the recipes and they were great.

Youall look like a fun group and I suggest you take the motley ones from the Hibernia for a venture down here for an alligator wrestling elimination. Being eliminated by a gator is no fun.

Continue your good work and don’t forget to attend the Church of your choice.
